Conduct Guide
Appropriate workout attire is required. No inappropriate swimsuits/clothing in the facility is allowed. Shirts must be worn at all times. Non-marking, closed toe athletic shoes must be worn in all fitness areas.
There may be additional rules added as determined from time to time at the discretion of the YMCA.
I understand that if my access card is used to let anyone else in during regular business hours or if I let anyone inside the YMCA for 24/7 access that I will lose my access permanently and possibly have my Y membership terminated.
All members and guests of the YMCA of McDonough County have a responsibility to behave properly while on the YMCA premises. A person's behavior may not:
- Be inappropriate to the situation
- Interfere with the safety of others
- Interfere with other member's/guests' enjoyment and use of the facility
- Show lack of respect for the rights of others
- Damage YMCA or personal property
Infractions such as:
- Foul language or disrespect toward staff, members, or guests
- Excessive horseplay
- Entering age restricted areas will result in disciplinary measures being taken
- Weight and Cardio rooms (Age 13 and over)
- Indoor Track (Age 13 and over)
- Violence
- Fighting
- Gang representation or activity
- The possession, use, or sale of drugs/alcohol
- The possession of firearms/weapons
Any of the behavior listed above will result in:
- The member/guest being directed to leave the building immediately
- Filing of an Incident Report by staff member
- Immediate suspension of YMCA privileges
- Where warranted, criminal prosecution
It is understood that a member's/guest's participation is at the discretion of the YMCA.
