YMCA Community Childcare Center

Small ChildrenLocated at 520 East Piper Street, Macomb Il

The YMCA Community Child Care Center serves the community as a professional in quality child care. Our center is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services. Members of our staff are required to have a college education and/or early childhood experience and must attend 15 hours of in-service training per year. Additionally, they are certified in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens/HIV training.

Our main objective is to provide a positive atmosphere which will promote the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of each child. Learning experiences appropriate for the developmental age of each group are provided daily.

Field trips are also a part of our curriculum. They may include a picnic; going to the library; a visit to a farm; or just walking around the neighborhood. In addition to our classroom, the center has a large gym for indoor play.

We observe six of the major holidays, plus the day after Thanksgiving.
