Summer Day Camp

2007 Summer Day Camp is “Under Construction”

For children going into kindergarten through seventh grades in the fall of 2007 (Kindergarteners must be 5 years of age by June 4, 2007). 

A new year brings many changes and opens many areas for new growth.  Carpenter pants and a hard hat are a must this summer because there’s going to be a lot of building at day camp – building character, building relationships, building foundations for development to a healthy life.  Campers will be divided into age appropriate “crews” led by their counselor (or “crew boss”).  Your children (our construction workers) will build their way through organized play and guided activities (involving individual skill and teamwork).  The YMCA is dedicated to building strong kids, strong families, strong communities.  The Construction starts now!  See you at Summer Day Camp. 

Meets from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except July 4.

Extended Camp available from 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Dates: June 4 - August 17, 2007

Site: YMCA Community Childcare Center playground. Member and Non-Member Fee's Available

(Summer Membership available upon registration).

Day Camping will help participants:

• Have fun

Emphasis is placed on nature education, environmental awareness, strengthening of values, development of self-esteem and FUN. Special focus will be made on small group activities.

Children bring a sack lunch. Water will be provided. Materials fee and first week payment due at sign up.
